Sky City Auckland tower and hotel
I’ve just spent four nights staying at the Sky City Auckland hotel while I played at the Asian Pacific Poker Tour event at Sky City.
Sky City sports two hotels – the “older” hotel in the actual casino complex and the newer “Sky City Grand” across the road. I stayed in room 452 of the older hotel, on the fourth floor. I get the impression this was one of their standard rooms.

Dr Terry Wong Dr Terry Wong is my dentist, and he is a great dentist. He started off as just my dentist, but has evolved into a good friend.
Now, as many people know, it's quite hard to find good professionals. Usually they are far too busy to really care very much about any one particular client. Having formerly been an accountant working in public practice, I've seen what it is like from the professional service provider's side of the fence. I've seen the shortcuts that get taken and the disdain with which many clients are treated by many professionals.
So when you do come across an ethical, high skilled and organised professional, they are worth their weight in gold and you should hang on to them for dear life! Terry is one such professional.

The logo of the ANZ Bank in Australia The ANZ bank in Australia is a really awful bank. I would strongly recommend not having anything to do with them.
My family banked with the ANZ bank for decades. When I was a very young child (maybe about five or so), my mother opened a trust account in my name, which was a common thing to do in those days. So I was a customer of the ANZ Bank since I was about five.
From my point of view, the ANZ was no better or worse than any other bank until the early 1990s. The decline began then. They made mistake after mistake, error after error. Now mistakes are a part of life, and all businesses are going to make them from time to time. And people know this. As a business, what's important is how you deal with the errors you will inevitably make. The ANZ did not deal with it well.
